The British CRO’s launch of the new office “reflects the growing significance of Turkey- and the wider MENA region- to the global clinical research market,” CEO Dr. Rabinder Buttar said. The company also has Middle Eastern offices in Cairo, Dubai and Beirut, Lebanon.
The company has been in the MENA region for more than eight years. The push into this region comes as the company expanded further into Africa about a year ago to handle vaccine trials conducted there and in Asia.
Elephant Capital back in 2010 also invested about $12.5M into the company to drive expansion in India and Asia.
“Our sponsorship of the Partnerships in Clinical Trials Russia-CIS & MENA-Turkey Conference [last week], coupled with the opening of the Turkey office, further emphasises our belief that ClinTec’s experienced local management team can easily negotiate the fast-moving and constantly evolving trial environment within the region,” Dr. Buttar added.
