Vetter data processing center completes certification

Vetter's new data processing center at its headquarters in Ravensburg, Germany has met all criteria required to meet the European DIN EN 50600 standard.

Vetter Managing Director Oliver Albrecht described digitalization as a “megatrend,” and as such, the company is working on various initiatives to increase connectivity between its customers and their manufacturing partners.

According to the company, the new in-house data processing center supports these connectivity activities, as it provides “secure sovereignty and control of customer and process data.”

Albrecht explained that the certification represents “an important selection criterion” for companies looking to partner with contract development and manufacturing organizations.

As part of the certification process, seven IT systems-related areas were vetted. The center’s functionality was also verified in two sectors, covering organizational aspects and technical components.

The new data processing center was completed in January 2016 and spans approximately 3,800 square feet – half is dedicated to technical equipment and the other media systems, such as climate control technology.
