Germany's Chiracon, a specialist in novel raw and starting materials for high-value pharmaceuticals, has joined the circle of Berlin's so-called Startup-Partners (Partner für Berlin Gesellschaft für Hauptstadt-Marketing), the central capital marketing agency for the region.
Chiracon was set up in 1999 and holds a portfolio of novel methods and techniques for the production of chiral molecules as raw and starting materials for the production of pharmaceuticals. The company can offer customers a range of pure substances in large quantities, from kilogram to ton quantities. Product lines include chiral alcohols, amines and bromides, all produced to current Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
The election panel chose Chiracon, along with nine other companies, from 30 candidates in the Berlin area. In order to be eligible as a partner, companies have to be owner-managed, and be operational for more than one but less than five years. Companies have to be innovative and technology-oriented, successfully present on the marketplace, and located in either Berlin or Brandenburg.
The rewards of membership into the scheme include the opportunity to attend events "to meet-up with decision-makers from politics, industry, research and society to tie new networks and to intensify and broaden existing links," according to the company.
