Isopak of the UK has introduced a single punch benchtop tablet press machine that is designed to answer the needs of small laboratories, pharmacies and hospitals.

The system, called the CPR-6, has an output capacity of 2,500 tablets an hour and is designed as an economical system for use where small batch runs are required.

The unit is equipped with independent weight and hardness adjustment capabilities, adding to its flexibility of use, and can exercise a compression force of 2.5 tonnes. Tablets with a maximum diameter of 16mm, filled to a depth of 17mm, can be produced at variable speed settings.

Isopak's managing director Robin Davies said: "The CPR-6 machine is an ideal choice for those who want a quality, automatic and economical tablet press."

This is the latest product developed by Italian firm Dott Bonapace to be made available in the UK. Isopak acts as Dott Bonapace's local distributor, and also sells its larger CPR-25 machine that has an output of 18,000 tablets per hour.More information is available from Isopak.
