UK company Casburt has introduced a new own-brand, medium-output range of tabletting machines under the Technipress banner.

The smaller machine in the range is the Technipress 1000. Depending on the number of stations, this press can manufacture between 48,000 and 234,000 tablets per hour with diameters of up to 16mm or 25mm.

The Technipress 2000 has an output of between 120,000 and 180,000 tablets per hour, again depending on the number of stations, and offers a maximum tablet diameter of between 11mm and 25mm.

Both machines are based on newly-designed parts, with complete traceability, and are based on the company's 25-year heritage in tablet press engineering. The design includes an easy-maintenance upper roll, an improved dust extract system and standardised main components, according to the firm.

Each Technipress machine comes with a 12 month guarantee and is CE certified and fully Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant.

Until now, Casburt has specialised in the conversion of customers' older tablet presses to a 'better-than-new' format that ensures GMP and CE compliance.
