Thermoregulator boosts process yields

Radleys of the UK has introduced a new refrigerated heat circulator that can improve the efficiency of process development, according to the company.

The Unistat Tango Nuevo will enable process developers to increase process yields, achieve greater final product purities and gain reliable and repeatable results at lower running costs, claims the company.

Manufactured from stainless steel, the Tango Nuevo offers active mechanical cooling from -45 to + 250°C. A variable-speed pump with a soft start gives the highest possible flow rates enabling the safest and fastest ramp rates - protecting glass reactors and maximizing process performance. The flow and pressure of thermal fluid is closely controlled and monitored by an adaptive controller.

In addition, the Tango Nuevo employs a hydraulically sealed circulator with a fully self-contained expansion tank at atmospheric pressure meaning that it can be located below or above the level of the application without the risk of siphoning or back-flow even during power-down.

A colour TFT display shows a full range of user selectable relevant information, such as process temperature, jacket temperature, fluid pressure and safety parameters. It also includes an option to allow dynamic data to be viewed in a graphical format.

The controller is menu driven and can mimic previous generation controllers so that existing users have familiarity. Commands also can be entered via the touchscreen or hot-keys.
