DataLabs launch new clinical trials software
entry (PDE) and electronic data capture (EDC) in the one program to
accelerate the clinical trials process.
>DataLabs, developer of Web-based software for clinical development, believes the new DataLabs Clinical software will cut training and trial design costs for those in the biopharmaceutical and contract research organization (CRO) industries.
"DataLabs Clinical enables biopharmaceutical companies, CROs, and academic institutions to design a clinical study once, then collect data either through a PDE or EDC mode, then clean and manage the data with the same system," said Jim Langford, president of DataLabs.
"Now true hybrid studies can be conducted without the difficult and time-consuming data integration from two databases; patient data from both PDE and EDC can be captured and managed in the same system and database," he said.
DataLabs Clinical CRO, is a variation of the software that is designed to specifically benefit CROs and includes a business model that allows CROs to increase revenue and lower costs.
DataLabs Clinical Pharma edition is aimed at biopharmaceutical companies and academic/clinical institutions and incorporates a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant data management system.
Leading CRO, PRA International, has already taken the new software in-house and said it will benefit from efficiency gains and a company-wide standard for collecting clinical trial data.
