The IPA 3.1 integrates 3rd party applications through APIs, supporting Affymetrix GeneChip Human Mapping 10K, 100K and 500K Array Sets, expanding the relevance of IPA to biomarker and pharmacogenomic research efforts.
Researchers can use this technology to analyse their expression and genotyping experiments together in a single unified pathway view of the underlying biology.
The IPA 3.1 release includes features such as an Application Programming Interface (API), which facilitate integration with various applications and IPA for improved workflow.
The software application also includes mapping files for SNPs, which can map Affymetrix SNP identifiers. The mapping files now support Affymetrix GeneChip Human Mapping 10K, 100K and 500K Array Sets.
This enables researchers to investigate SNP information in the context of the biological mechanisms of a particular disease.
"IPA 3.1 meets the need in the marketplace for a robust pathways product that can be integrated with proprietary and third party applications," said Ramon Felciano chief technology officer and vice president, Research for Ingenuity.
"With the addition of new APIs, our customers now have the flexibility to incorporate IPA into their internal tools, optimising workflow for understanding the biological mechanisms, pathways and functions most relevant to their research."
