The product launches not only aim at the lucrative European markets, which Millipore have established a secure foothold but also with a view to target the emerging Asian outsourcing market, which has exploded in recent years.
The new products include the Pod Process Scale System for large-scale clarification/prefiltration. The system is a modular, disposable NFF filter format that will become available with the Millistak+ HC media, the self-contained, disposable design of the Pod platform allows improve process speed, safety and economics in the clarification step.
Millipore also make available its Integritest 4 Filter Integrity Test Instrument with a graphical user interface with customisable touch-screen menus and tool bars
The instrument is based on an automatic test algorithm, which is designed to accelerate testing that supports multi-layer virus filters and asymmetric membranes.
Unlike other products on the market today, it extrapolates the accurate portion of a flow curve while avoiding dependencies on the volatile portions. This, in combination with an event-based capture of the flow curve, gives a sustainable method of bubble point testing.
The software included diagnoses and electronically calibrates the pressure transducers and can automatically check the functionality of the computer and pneumatic manifold components.
User programmable test parameters allow for more case specific testing when needed for analysis.
