Pall offers free chromatography seminar

Pall is organising a free chromatography seminar in Paris this week presented by leading chromatographers from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and biologicals industries.

Aimed at improving biopharmaceutical processing, the seminar will feature practical presentations, detailed case studies and workshops on column packing techniques, using membrane chromatography, performance monitoring and purification performance prediction and optimisation.

The workshops will include a practical demonstration of optimising small-scale systems and the practical demonstration and discussion on column packing.

Case studies will focus on the rapid development of purification strategies for alpha-1 proteinase inhibitor (API) using SELDI-MS, disposable charged membrane advantages versus classical ion exchange beads in the frame of gene therapy vector purification, optimisation and scale-up of antibody purification conditions by hydrophobic charge induction chromatography and practical application of membrane chromatography to the purification of protein vaccines.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss experiences, network with colleagues, learn methods and get tips on how to run their process better.

The seminar will take place on 15 June 2006 at the Salons Hoche Paris, 9 Avenue Hoche, 75008 Paris.
