Novasep claims to be purer than pure

French purification specialist Novasep has unveiled a new series of preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) columns that are ideally suited for the purification of any amount of product.

Pack-n-Sep 50 claims to be the fastest packing and unpacking device on the market, with the process taking less than five minutes.

It also offers a compact design for user-friendly handling, with the capability to pack beds of up to 27cm in a 34cm-long column.

The column is very reliable and most critical parts are the same as in the company's Prochrom LC50 column.

It is also versatile as shorter (for SMB) or longer (for HPLC) columns are packed with the same packer.

The series is designed so that one packer can support numerous columns to meet the laboratory's needs at a cost effective price.

Pack-n-Sep 50 can be attached to the packer and used in Dynamic Axial Compression (DAC) mode for applications that require very high column efficiency and long-term bed stability.

It can also be used separately in non-DAC mode, with a unique feature for readjusting the packing pressure, and hence the efficiency, in seconds.

The new Novasep Process Pack-n-Sep series is designed to work with the company's Hipersep LAB (fully automated preparative HPLC systems) and Varicol LAB (continuous multicolumn chromatography systems).

It combines the advantages both of a 50mm ID DAC column and of a device capable of packing multiple columns that can be used separately with HPLC, SMB or Varicol systems.
