Crucell, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and SupplyScape - People on the move

Crucell, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and SupplyScape have all had people on the move in the world of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Dutch biotech firm Crucell earlier this week announced the appointment of Cees de Jong as the company's new chief operating officer.

De Jong will take over the role moving from a senior position in the flavours division at fellow Dutch firm Quest International where he remains a member of the supervisory board.

Prior to Quest, de Jong held positions at DSM Anti-Infectives and Gist Brocades before it was acquired by DSM in 1998.

Endo Pharmaceuticals has also named its new COO, appointing Nancy Wysenski who has taken over the role with immediate effect.

Wysenski will oversee the integration and execution of the company's operating strategy, sourcing and commercialising the product portfolio, and will also take over responsibility for technical operations, supply chain and strategic alliances, among other duties.

Wysenski was formerly president of Merck KGaA subsidiary EMD Pharmaceuticals, and also held senior positions at NetGenics and Astra Merck.

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has also announced a couple of changes in its women's health business.

Cathy Kerzner will take over as senior vice president and general manager of the business unit, taking responsibility for commercialisation of the division's products on a global basis.

Michael Dey moves from his former managerial position in the women's healthcare unit to take over as president of scientific affairs for the division.

SupplyScape , a provider of software solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries, has appointed a new CEO.

Mark O'Connell joins the company from his previous position as CEO of MatrixOne, a firm offering solutions in product lifecycle management.
