Cambrex, etrials Worldwide, Premier Research, InVentiv Health and
OmniComm Systems have all had people on the move in the world
of pharmaceutical outsourcing.

Cambrex has revealed the appointment of Steven Klosk as the company's new president and CEO.

He was also named as a director of the contract manufacturing firm.

Klosk moves into the top spot from his previous position of chief operating officer (COO) and executive vice president.

The opportunity oponed up for Klosk after Cambrex' current chairman, president and CEO James Mack decided to retire at the end of June.

The company said it has now decided to separate the chairman and CEO posts and has appointed John Miller , the present lead director, as non-executive chairman.

Meanwhile, etrials Worldwide has announced the resignation of its secretary, treasurer and chief financial officer James Clark , who has left the firm to " pursue other opportunities ".

The eclinical firm said it has initiated a national search for a new CFO.

In the meantime, the company´s corporate controller and vice president of finance, Joseph Trepanier will serve as secretary and chief financial officer.

Chip Jennings, president and chief executive officer of etrials, said that Trepanier has already been playing a significant role in helping the firm identify various productivity improvements " as we continue to implement our planned investments in re-engineering initiatives and organisational improvements designed to create a higher industry standard in service delivery ".

Meanwhile, Premier Research Group has heralded the appointment of Anthony Faragasso as its new executive director and global head of Medical Management and Safety.

In this position, Dr Faragasso will lead the global Medical Management and Safety team ensuring the delivery of quality medical and safety services, the firm said.

Dr Faragasso joins Premier from Adolor Corporation where he established and managed a growing safety department over the last seven years.

In addition, InVentiv Health has just named Blane Walter as its new CEO, as Eran Broshy , the company's current chief executive and chairman, moves into the newly-created role of executive chairman.

Prior to his new appointment, Walter served as president of InVentiv Health after moving up from the post of president of InVentiv Communications, a division that was newly created when Walter sold his company InChord Communications to Inventiv Health three years ago.

The Healthcare services firm said that Walter will begin in his new role as of 11 June, although no replacement has yet been found for his current position.

Recently, OmniComm Systems has recruited Thomas Wells as vice president of Technical Operations, where he will be responsible for driving strategy and delivering business processes and systems for product development.

Prior to joining OmniComm, Wells served as director of Research and Development of Informatics at Amgen, where he managed global teams that implemented and supported all of Amgen's development systems.
