The software has been designed specifically for small and mid-size companies, with Perceptive believing it will now be easier for them to upload the information is now a requirement for clinical trials.
Other enhancements have been made to the latest version of Parexel’s subsidiary’s Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) to improve the reporting, data transfer and analysing study information.
Steve Kent, president of Perceptive, said: “To meet the unique needs of small and mid-size biopharmaceutical companies conducting more complex, global clinical programs, the new features of the TrialWorks system provide a greater degree of flexibility and configurability for these demanding studies.
"Since CTMS tracks, manages, and reports on every aspect of a clinical study, we believe it is a critical component of an overall eClinical solution that is needed to maximise the productivity and efficiency of clinical research."
TrialWorks has also been enhanced to add capabilities for classifying studies, improving the ability to group studies together. The filtering and analysis of study information has also been improved.
SourceSolution database for CRO and CMO
SourceSolution is launching a new initiative that it claims reduces the time and cost of screening contract manufacturing and research organizations (CMOs/CROs).
The Software as a Service (SaaS) database will allow users to perform detailed searches of service provider capabilities against their own project requirements.
Companies using the tool to evaluate the suitability of a CMO or CRO will find the process less cumbersome and time consuming than current methods, according to SourceSolution.
Premila Anand, founder and CEO of SourceSolution, said: "SourceSolution is excited to present what we believe will be a powerful tool for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries as well for contract service providers.
“We understand that the purchase decisions for outsourced product development activities are complex and through this initiative, we hope to streamline this process."
CMOs and CROs profiles can be updated to ensure that all potential clients are accessing the latest information. Once a potential client identifies companies that appear to meet its requirements the service providers will be informed and provided with a qualified sales lead for follow-up.
The initiative will be launched in November, with a number of free webinars offered throughout October and November.
