The deal with Micro-Macinazione sees Quadro become the exclusive distributor of Jet-Mill products in North and South America.
Micro-Macinazione’s Jet-Mill’s are used for the micronisation of dry powders and are available in a range of scales, from laboratory up to commercial production. This allows for easy and reliable scale-up, according to Micro-Macinazione.
Every one of the Jet-Mills is designed and built to a customer’s need, which results in each machine having a custom lay-out, materials, lining and polishing.
In addition the company says that the machines are easy to install, use and clean. Micro-Macinazione claims that a larger scale Jet-Mill can be cleaned and back in use with a different powder within hours.
Furthermore, the machines have a long operative lifespan, with only parts that come into contact powders needing replacing, according to Micro-Macinazione.
Sifting to security screen APIs
Quadro believes its new FlexSift machine is an improvement over other methods of sifting active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
FlexSift differs from large vibratory sifters that represent some of its competitors, offering a quicker, more efficient method of security screening or delumping APIs, according to Quadro.
In addition the company claims its product produces less airborne fine particles, which in turn limits waste and operator exposure.
The product is targeted at those seeking to reduce the risk of contamination through pre-screening or who needs to delump agglomerated powders.
