Almac opens new cold storage warehouse in Craigavon

Alamac Clinical Services (ACS) has added a new cold-chain and supply storage facility at its site in Craigavon, Northern Ireland in response to what it describes as an “unprecedented increase in demand” from drug industry clients.

The 1277 cubic metre facility, which provides space for 150 controlled drug storage pallets and 450 additional refrigerated pallets, is part of the firm’s ongoing global expansion plan that has also seen it invest in cold storage at its US sites in Durham, North Carolina and Audubon, Pennsylvania.

ACS president Robert Dunlop said that: “As demand for both controlled drug and cold storage has grown steadily in recent times, we must provide our offerings in line with market demands.”
