Movements at WuXi and Catalent – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest roundup of appointments in the pharmaceutical outsourcing sector, including movements at WuXi and Catalent.

WuXi PharmaTech has appointed Chi-Chung Chan as its vice president (VP) of pharmacology. Chan had previously worked for 26 years at Merck & Co where he led the company’s pharmacology research efforts in a range of therapeutic fields, including diabetes and obesity.

John LaHaye has been appointed as VP of business development of Catalent Pharma Solutions’ commercial packaging business. Prior to joining Catalent LaHaye worked at Sentrx for seven years.

ERT (eResearchTechnology) has appointed Tammy Miller as VP of project management. Miller has 24 years experience in the healthcare industry, including 12 years at contract research organisations (CRO) and pharma companies.

Most recently Miller served as group director for central nervous system (CNS) at Quintiles.

Patient Marketing Group (PMG), an inVentiv Health Company, has recently made a number of appointments. Steve Kreshover has joined the company as executive VP, having previously worked at Merck & Co.

In addition Jacques Thierry has returned to PMG as VP, account management, Pam Podolak has joined the company as account coordinator and Bonnie-Gail Roberts has been appointed as client development specialist.

Regulatory consulting company Greenleaf Health has appointed Taryn Fritz Walpole as VP, corporate affairs. Walpole was previously the deputy chief of staff at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and worked at the agency from 2006 to 2009.

Prior to joining the FDA Walpole worked for eight years as a senior staffer for US Representative Henry Bonilla and US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Conrad Heilman has been appointed as president and CEO of Tunnell Consulting, a business offering services to improve manufacturing performance in the life sciences sector.

Heilman has worked as chief operating officer since November 2008 and since then the company has prepared for the leadership transition, with Joseph Tempio now stepping down as CEO.

Contract services company Anderson Packaging has promoted Phil DiGiacomo to vice president, sales and marketing. DiGiacomo has 30 years experience in contract pharma packaging, most recently as director of east coast sales at Anderson.

Clinical Trials and Surveys Corporation (C-TASC) has appointed Chris Donhauser as its chief financial officer. Donhauser has worked with C-TASC since it was founded in 1989 and for the past 10 years has been its executive director and treasurer.
