Appointments at Dishman, CTI and PDI – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round-up of movements in the pharmaceutical outsourcing sector, including appointments at Dishman, CTI and PDI.

Juan Venceslao has been appointed as director of Dishman’s generic API business. Venceslao previously worked at Uquifa as marketing and commercial manager for Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services (CTI) has appointed Harald von Eick as managing director. Prior to joining CTI von Eick worked at Ecron Acunova and has also held positions Rentschler Arzneimittel and Parexel.

Gerald Belle has been appointed as lead independent director of PDI. Belle has been a director of the company since 2008. Earlier in his career Belle worked at Merial, Sanofi-Aventis and Merck & Co.

Austin Chemical has appointed Malcolm Rosenthal as executive vice president (VP). Previously Rosenthal has worked at Piramal Healthcare, Cambrex and Degussa/Evonik.

Cherokee Pharmaceuticals has added to its business development team as it seeks to grow its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) development, manufacturing and chemical distribution operations.

Hugh McManus has joined the company as director, sales and business development covering the west coast of the US. McManus has previously worked at DSM and has experience in the API and chemical sectors.

Furthermore, Torrey Adams has been appointed as manager, sales and business development covering the east coast of the US. Prior to joining Cherokee Adams worked at BASF.

Octagon Research Solutions has appointed Jeffrey Davidson as senior director, clinical statistics. Davidson has more than 20 years experience in the industry at businesses including contract research organisations (CRO).
