The single-use reactor, which was co-developed with Netherlands based Applikon Biotechnology, is designed for the development and optimization of cell culture process with a specific focus on improving predictability during scale-up.
Millipore believes that the CellReady system, which will be showcased at the BioProcess International conference in North Carlina, US, later this week, can save developers time by eliminating the cleaning, assembly and sterilization steps required by other benchtop bioreactors.
Andrew Bulpin, VP of upstream processing at Millipore, said that: “Now process development scientists have a benchtop, single-use bioreactor that’s ready to use out of the box, so they can maximize their time in the laboratory.”
