Appointments at Synteract, Quintiles, Quanticate and ClinOps – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at Synteract, Quintiles, Quanticate and ClinOps.

Synteract ​has reorganised its executive team, appointing Rod Saponjic​ as vice president (VP) of global project management and moving several other members of staff to new roles.

In this role Saponjic will be responsible for harmonising project management, training and operations across the company. He joins Synteract from PRA, where he spent five years, and he has also held positions at Monitorforhire.com, Clingenix and Quintiles.

Other changes include the promotion of Stewart Bieler​ to chief operating officer, Ali Sadighian​ becoming VP of business development and Kristi Clark ​taking the role of managing director of the new Synteract office in Prague.

Quintiles Consulting ​has made three appointments to its US regulatory and quality consulting practice. Bob Rhoades ​joins the company as head of quality systems business units within the US. Rhoades has more than 30 years experience of regulatory compliance and quality systems.

The company has also appointed Michael Swiatocha​ as head of the R&D compliance unit and Barbara Holladay Pierre has joined the BIMO (biomedical monitoring) group as principal consultant.

Scott Clark​ has been appointed as head of business development, Americas at Quanticate​. Before joining Quanticate Clark worked at Quintiles and has also help positions at Pfizer, SmithKline Beecham and Premier Inc.

ClinOps ​has hired Connie Andrews​ as senior VP of clinical operations. Andrews has more than 28 years of clinical research experience at large and mid-sized pharma, biotechs and CROs.
