Appointments at PharmaNet, Kendle and INC Research – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharmaceutical outsourcing sector, including appointments at PharmaNet, Kendle and INC Research.

PharmaNet has appointed Jeffrey Trotter as executive vice president (VP), Phase IV development. Trotter was founder and president of Ovation Research Group and also ran an independent consultancy, J Trotter Research and Consulting.

Michael Sprafka has been appointed as VP of Kendle Consulting. Sprafka has previously held senior leadership roles in pharma, government and academia.

INC Research has appointed Wayne Whittingham as VP, regulatory affairs and strategic drug development. Whittingham has more than 20 years experience in regulatory affairs and project management, including six years at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

James Matsuura has been appointed as director of formulation development at Althea Technologies. Following the construction of new formulation laboratories in San Diego, California, US and the services offered from the site will be overseen by Matsuura.

inVentiv Communications has hired Jason Bostic, Summer Cogar, Claire Corbett, Shepell Dunmore, Rhonda Griffin and Denise Gow.

Terrell Herring is resigning from his position as president and chief operating officer of inVentiv Health to take over the pharmaceutical division of Mission Pharmacal. Herring joined inVentiv in 1999 and will take his new role as president of Mission’s pharma division in January 2010.

Coldstream Laboratories has appointed Pramod Gupta as VP of quality and chief scientific officer. Gupta has more than 20 years experience in the pharma sector at companies including Bausch & Lomb, Baxter and Abbott Laboratories.
