Semler Research Center (SRC) has announced a raft of management changes, appointing a Mr Gurudatta as its new COO; Anil Kumar as director of BA/BE operations and naming Subbaiah Rashin as director of business development.
Contract research and laboratory services firm Pacific Biometrics has appointed SVP of operations Michael Murphy as its Chief Operating Officer. Before joining the firm Dr Murphy was Technical Director at the Laboratory Corporation of America
Canadian preclinical contract research organisation (CRO) Lab Research has announced that board member Richard Lacombe has resigned and that Yvan Landry has been nominated as his replacement.
Cecil Pickett has joined the scientific advisory board of Indian CRO GVK Biosciences. Prior to joining GVK, Dr Pickett was president of R&D as Biogen Idec and has previously worked at Schering- Plough, Merck & Co.
He has also served as a member of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Science Board, the Advisory Committee to the Director of the National Institutes of Health and The National Cancer Policy Board of the Institute of Medicine.
GVK said that Pickett’s “experience in drug metabolism, molecular pharmacology and expertise in leading drug discovery initiatives, will be invaluable to GVK Bio as we build our organization to provide a wide range of scientific solutions globally.”
DPT Laboratories has named Lyle Flom, the former general manager for plant operations, as its new vice president of development commercial services.
Flom will oversee product development as well as ongoing commercial production for DPT roster of contract manufacturing customers.
The San Antonio Business Journal suggested that the appointment is part of DPT’s efforts to combine divisions and services that are closely related.
