Appointments at DPT Laboratories, Datatrak and Dishman – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at DPT Laboratories, Datatrak and Dishman.

DPT Laboratories has appointed James Vaughn as director of formulation. Before joining DPT Vaughn was vice president (VP) of operations at PharmaForm, which gave him responsibility good manufacturing practice (GMP) production, quality control and project management.

Chris Wilke has been named as chief technology officer at eClinical business Datatrak. A press statement described Wilke as a long-time Datatrak employee, adding that he was influential in the creation of Datatrak One.

Halloran Consulting Group, a company offering clinical development strategy and services to life sciences businesses, has expanded its executive team with two additions.

Firstly, Vicky Hines has joined the company as a principal consultant. Before joining Halloran Hines worked at Celtic Pharma and she also spent 15 years at Chiron.

In addition, Walter Houseman has been appointed as a consultant. Houseman was previously VP of operations at CRF Health and has also held positions at Perceptive Informatics, CRF Box and Clinsoft.

Dishman has appointed Chris Oates as its chief operating officer, giving him responsibility for operations in India and China. Oates has more than 20 years experience in the pharma industry at companies including Avecia Pharmaceuticals and Uquifa Mexico.

Daniel Schultz has been named as senior VP, medical devices and combination products at regulatory consulting firm Greenleaf Health. Schultz is a former director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Director of the CDRH was Schultz’s final position at the FDA where he spent 15 years. Before joining the agency he was a member of the US Public Health Service (USPHS).
