Medpace buys Medical Consulting
Contract research organisation (CRO) Medpace has acquired Germany-based Medical Consulting Dr Schlichtiger to strengthen its presence in Europe.
Medical Consulting has expertise regulatory submissions and approvals as well as drug safety management and reporting. Medpace will now begin integrating Medical Consulting into its operations and plans to complete this process by mid-2010.
The acquisition comes days after Medpace broke ground at its new global headquarters in Madisonville, Cincinnati, Ohio. Medpace plans to transfer 600 employees from an existing site to the 132,000 sq ft facility and create an additional 760 jobs by 2014.
Construction of the facility is supported by incentives from the state of Ohio and Cincinnati.
