SAFC building big pharma relationships to drive growth
The impact of the economic downturn is still being felt but SAFC remains "cautiously optimistic" about 2010, believing its close relationships with clients and investment in key emerging markets will generate business.

SAFC president Gilles Cottier spoke with in-PharmaTechnologist at Informex 2010, explaining that the firm uses dedicated high-level salespeople to represent its entire offering to clients, providing a single point of contact that fosters a more strategic interaction.

He went on to say that building this type of trusted relationship is particularly important because of the trend for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical firms to enter into wide-ranging strategic partnerships.

Cottier also said that SAFC will continue to invest in emerging international markets to expand its business in 2010, highlighting India, China and Brazil as particularly important growth areas.
