Appointments at Cytovance Biologics, PharmaNet and Cook Pharmica – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at Cytovance Biologics, PharmaNet and Cook Pharmica.

Cytovance Biologics has made appointments to expand its biologic contract manufacturing operations in international markets. Molly McGlaughlin has been promoted to vice president (VP) of sales and business development – international after joining the company in 2008.

Also, William Dull has joined the company as VP of sales and business development. Dull has 24 years experience in pharma and biotech in North America at companies including ARCA biopharma, Genentech, Scios and Transkaryotic Therapies.

Veda Walcott has been named as VP of quality and corporate compliance officer at Cook Pharmica. Walcott joined Cook in 2005 and has previously worked at Baxter BioPharma Solutions and Barnard Associates.

PharmaNet Development Group has appointed George McMillan as chief financial officer. McMillan joins PharmaNet from Ze-Gen, The Palladium Group, CMGI and BMG Direct.

Douglas Roth has been promoted to senior VP, chief administrative officer and chief financial officer at Aceto. Roth joined the company, which is involved in the sourcing, quality assurance, regulatory support and distribution, in 2001.

Contract research organisation (CRO) Eurofins AvTech Laboratories has appointed Michael Barron as director of business development. Barron has previously worked for Catalent Pharma Solutions, Cardinal Health and other contract drug development and analytical service firms.

Aperio Technologies has appointed Keith Hagen as chief operating officer. Hagen has previously served as CEO of QuadraMed and also worked at M Transaction Services and Misys Hospital Systems.

Ceri Thomas has been named as head of global marketing at Kantar Health. Thomas spent 18 years at Pfizer before joining TNS Healthcare.
