Appointments at Quintiles, PharmaNet, IGI Laboratories and Sentrx – People on the move
Quintiles has named John Murphy as head of clinical analytics within its consulting business. Murphy has previously held positions at Booz & Company, Pharsight, CuraGen and Predict.
Marc Kamin has been appointed vice president (VP), medical and scientific affairs, neuroscience at PharmaNet Development Group. Kamin has 20 years experience in the pharma industry at companies including Johnson & Johnson where he led the clinical trial coordination group.
IGI Laboratories has hired Charles Moore as president and CEO. Moore replaces Hemanshu Pandya who recently resigned from the positions. Before joining IGI Moore worked at Infa and during his career has taken more than 50 generic topical products from development to approval.
Lauren Stewart has joined Sentrx as VP, quality standards and corporate compliance. Sentrx believes Stewart is an expert in US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, notably 21 CFR Part 11. Stewart spent 13 years working at Cegedim Dendrite.
Sales and marketing services provider Qforma has appointed three business development executives. Carl Lunz joins from Baxter Healthcare, Keith Mangas from Healthy Advice Networks and Chris Rofidal from GTx, Inc.
Jeffrey Kindler, CEO of Pfizer, has been elected as board chairman of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). Kindler succeeds David Brennan, CEO of AstraZeneca.
Also, Christopher Viehbacher, CEO of Sanofi-Aventis, was named as chairman-elect and John Lechleiter, CEO of Eli Lilly, was named as board treasurer.
