Appointments at PharmaNet, Synexus, KCAS, Catalent and CIS – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at PharmaNet, Synexus, KCAS, Catalent and CIS.

PharmaNet Development Group has strengthened its Phase IV development team by making three appointments. Firstly, Ron Weishaar has been named executive director of observational research. Weishaar has previously worked at Omnicare Clinical Research and Warner-Lambert.

Mike Nelson has also joined the company as executive director of health economics and outcomes research. Earlier in his career Nelson held positions at Covance and i3 Innovus.

Finally, Ken Ashman has been appointed as executive director of European operations. Ashman has also worked at Covance, PRA, Icon, ClinTrials and Quintiles.

Masood Khan has joined KCAS as senior director of ligand binding assay (LBA) services. Khan has previously worked at MDS, Covance, NeuroBiotech and MedImmune.

Synexus has appointed two new country managers. Helena Sigal joined Synexus when it acquired ClinPharm in 2009 and has now been appointed as country manager for Germany.

The contract research organisation (CRO) also named Radoslaw Janiak as country manager for Poland. Janiak joined Synexus in 2004 as the clinical site director for Poland.

Catalent Pharma Solutions has appointed Barry Russell as group president, commercial packaging. Russell joins from Ferro and during his career has also worked at Matson-CFM Technologies and FMC.

Lisa McNair has joined Compliance Implementation Services (CIS) as senior manager of Tricare Contracting. McNair has previously worked at the US Department of Defense.

D2 Pharma Consulting has hired Rena Goins as senior director, speciality markets. Goins has 20 years of distribution and speciality expertise at companies including PRN Services, Cardinal Health and McKesson Speciality Care Solutions.
