TechCRO supports clients’ data management and IT infrastructure needs to allow them to focus on their core business. C3i believes this will be particularly attractive to small- to medium-sized organisations that lack the expertise and resources to implement in-house infrastructure.
These firms can “realise the substantial benefits of market leading data capture and management tools without the overheads, long-term commitment, and wait that a traditional on-premise implementation entails”, said C3i.
TechCRO provides clients with a subscription-based clinical data management system hosted by C3i. Software offered in the licence package is provided by Oracle, a partner of C3i, and includes the company’s clinical, remote data capture and thesaurus management programs.
C3i is offering the licence model, support services and clinical data management in turnkey or staff augmentation variations to allow the client to customise the package to its needs.
“An increasing number of experienced sponsors and contract research organisations (CROs) want a flexible, rapidly deployed solution that includes quality software, validation, security, and ease of use”, said Kevin Shea, senior solution architect at C3i.
In addition to the core hosted data management service TechCRO also offers business process management, analysis, and workflow evaluation. These services can support companies as they transition to more robust and comprehensive data management systems.
The package
Services included in TechCRO are viewed as “natural extensions” to C3i’s portfolio. C3i offers technical site implementation and provisioning, clinical training, and 24/7 multilingual help desk services.
Adding TechCRO to these existing services allows clients to use C3i as a single vendor for the operations, infrastructure, support, and logistical services needed to start, manage and close a clinical trial. C3i said it is the only firm to offer full-service capability to the Oracle Clinical market.
