Appointments at Icon, PPD and PharmaNet – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at Icon, PPD and PharmaNet.

Riaz Bandali has been appointed as president, early stage development at PharmaNet Development Group. Bandali has previously worked at AB Sciex and Molecular Devices and MDS Pharma Services.

Icon has named Jonathan Fishbein as vice president (VP) and global head for the infectious disease area group at the clinical research division. Fishbein joined Icon in 2009 after working for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Henrietta Ukwu has joined PPD as SVP of global regulatory affairs. Ukwu most recently worked at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and has also worked at Merck & Co.

Biopharm sales consultancy Delta Point has appointed Dave Bonnell as VP. Bonnell has previously held a number of sales positions at AstraZeneca.

Mary Foster, a Catalent employee, has been elected chair of the US Pharmacopeia (USP) packaging, storage and distribution expert committee. Foster is VP of quality at Catalent and has held a number of quality and regulatory roles during her 20 years at the company.

Healthy Life Laboratories has named Henry Warner as its director of computer sciences. Warner has worked as a consultant on a number of corporate and advisory boards in the computer technology and diagnostics sectors.

Adel Al-Saleh has changing roles at IMS Health and is now SVP, sales and global account management. Previously Al-Saleh was president, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Al-Saleh joined IMS in 2007 having worked at IBM for 19 years.
