Appointments at Catalent, ACR Image Metrix and Health Decisions – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at Catalent, ACR Image Metrix and Health Decisions.

Elena Kachanova has joined ACR Image Metrix as clinical project manager. Kachanova has more than nine years of clinical trial experience at companies including AstraZeneca and PharmaNet.

Catalent Pharma Solutions has appointed Melvin Booth and Arthur Higgins to the board of directors. Booth has worked, or continues to work, at MedImmune, Human Genome Sciences, Millipore and PRA. Higgins has worked at Bayer HealthCare, Sandoz and Abbott Laboratories.

Cathy Kerzner has been appointed SVP and chief commercial officer of M2Gen, the for-profit service providing subsidiary of the Moffitt Cancer Center. Kerzner has previously worked at Wyeth, Cardinal Health and was the co-founder of EKR Therapeutics.

Health Decisions has hired Bryan Minihan as chief technology officer. Minihan has fifteen years of IT and IS experience and has worked at GlaxoSmithKline, Accenture, Intuit and Cisco.

Pat Long, vice chairman and co-founder of logistics service provider Longistics, has been appointed to the North Carolina Logistics Task Force. The task force is charged with evaluating current transportation options in North Carolina.

The Partnership Board of the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) is seeking two new members. Applicants have until October 15 to apply for the roles.

Josef von Rickenbach, CEO of Parexel, has been named North American executive of the year in the seventh annual International Business Awards.

London Genetics Limited, a not-for-profit pharmacogenetics firm, has appointed Stephen DeCherney and Munir Pirmohamed as senior advisors.

DeCherney was previously chief innovation officer at Quintiles and has also worked at the US National Institutes of Health. Pirmohamed is the NHS Chair of Pharmacogenetics at the University of Liverpool, UK and is also involved in the European EU-PACT Phase IV study.
