Peter Milner is collaborating with GRS to develop tailored biopharm commercialisation services. Milner is the co-founder of three biotechs, CV Therapeutics, ARYx Therapeutics and Optiva Biotechnology, and will now manage the new strategic service offered by GRS.
Kendle has appointed Michael Gallagher as vice president (VP) and global head, medical affairs. Gallagher last worked at Icon Clinical Research and has also held positions at Medex Clinical Trials Services and PharmaNet.
Commercialisation services firm Invida has expanded its senior management team with three appointments. Surmeet Sud has been hired to the newly-created position of chief marketing officer.
Sud has 18 years of pharma experience, including 10 years in Asia Pacific, at companies such as Pfizer, Merck & Co and Talecris Biotherapeutics.
Invida has also hired Girdhar Balwani and Thomas Birsinger as country managers for India and Vietnam, respectively. Balwani was regional general manager for nine countries in Asia Pacific at UCB. Birsinger has spent the past six years with Zuellig Pharma in Vietnam and Korea.
AmerisourceBergen has promoted Barbara Brungess to VP, corporate and investor relations. Brungess joined AmerisourceBergen 10 years ago and will now succeed Michael Kilpatric.
Packaging producer Clondalkin Group has made two appointments to strengthen its pharma business. Sean Nolan has been named as managing director – pharma Ireland. Nolan joined the company in 1990.
Piotr Lelakowski has been hired as managing director of Boxes Prestige Poland and Harlands Poland. Lelakowski worked for the past 10 years at Proctor & Gamble.
