Appointments at PharmaNet, Kendle, Synexus and Gene Logic – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at PharmaNet, Kendle, Synexus and Gene Logic.

Christophe Berthoux has been named as chief executive of Synexus, replacing Michael Fort. Berthoux joins from Charles River Laboratories. Fort will become full-time executive deputy chairman with responsibility for continued development and expansion of the group.

PharmaNet Development Group has appointed Anthony Maida as vice president (VP), clinical research. Maida has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic, operational and financial expertise to pharma companies, with a particular focus on oncology.

Mark Roseman has joined Kendle as SVP and chief marketing officer, replacing Simon Higginbotham. Roseman joins from i3 Research and also worked at PPD for 13 years. Higginbotham will provide consulting services to Kendle for an initial term of 10 months.

Novasep has named Bernard Dubois as chairman of its supervisory board, replacing Pietro Stefanutti. Dubois is the former SVP, head of global industrial operations at Aventis and has also worked as CEO of Cooper.

Jatinder Kaur has been hired by Intrinsic Imaging as senior director, medical imaging operations. Kaur has previously worked at the medical imaging unit of Perceptive Informatics.

Gene Logic, an Ocimum Biosolutions company, has appointed Norrie Russell as president. Before joining Gene Logic, Russell worked at NovaRx, Invitrogen, Lynx Therapeutics and AstraZeneca.

Judith Teall has joined Exco InTouch as director of patient recruitment. Teall previously led patient recruitment in Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East at AstraZeneca.

Drug development consultancy Prism Ideas has named Nigel Brooksby as non-executive chairman. Brooksby has 35 years of life sciences experience, including periods at Sanofi-Aventis UK and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI).
