CRO Registrat-Mapi advising Trianz on ePRO development

Registrat-Mapi is to advise on the development of Trianz’s electronic and mobile patient reported outcome (ePRO) modules.

By collaborating with Registrat-Mapi Trianz will benefit from its experience of collecting, analysing and interpreting PRO in late phase studies. Furthermore, since 2007 Registrat-Mapi has used Trianz’s Acceliant eClinical suite for its late phase studies, giving it knowledge of the software.

Registrat-Mapi, a late phase focused contract research organisation (CRO), uses “PRO data to demonstrate product effectiveness and evidence based science”, said Stephen Webb, the company’s president of North America.

Robust ePRO tools and web-based applications play a significant role in fulfilling these goals and successfully conducting late phase clinical trials. Contributing to the development of Trianz’s ePRO will help Registrat-Mapi ensure the software meets its requirements.

Acceliant V6.2 is due for release before the end of 2010 and incorporates a number of functional enhancements resulting from Registrat-Mapi’s input. Registrat-Mapi will continue to identify areas the ePRO modules can be improved as Trianz develops the software.

The ePRO modules support “rich set of features for patients to register, enrol and complete the necessary forms”, said Sri Manchala, president and CEO of Trianz. Data can be captured from the internet, smartphones, tablets and interactive voice response (IVRS).

Additionally, the ePRO module provides sites with patient profiles, custom reports and real-time access to data”, said Manchala.

Trianz demonstrated an initial version of the Acceliant ePRO module at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Society for Clinical Data Management, which took place this week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
