Newly-formed Gateway Analytical is confident its service offering, employees’ experience and ties to its parent company will allow it to grow despite a challenging operating environment.

ChemImage subsidiary Gateway was founded earlier this year to provide new and existing clients with an expanded range of analytical services, such as spectroscopic measurements.

Speaking to Outsourcing-Pharma at AAPS 2010 Linda Batykefer, marketing manager at Gateway, said some existing ChemImage clients have been transitioned to the new subsidiary. Batykefer is confident clients will see the value of the expanded service offering provided by Gateway.

To achieve its growth target of five to seven per cent a year Gateway plans to secure business with new clients, such biopharm and contract research organisations (CRO) that want to supplement in-house analytic capabilities.

Gateway also offers services to the forensics and materials science industries.
