Catalent Pharma Solutions has made a number of appointments. Scott Neilson, formerly of AAI Pharma and Covance, has been named vice president (VP) of operations development; and Elaine Dymond, who used to work at GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi, is the new VP of quality.
Also, Ronald Overhiser joins as VP of innovation operations having previously worked at GE Healthcare Medical Diagnostics; and Evjatar Cohen, who has held a number of positions at Teva Pharmaceuticals, has been appointed VP of global portfolio management.
Quintiles has hired Vincent Aurentz as EVP, customer solutions business. Aurentz is heading a new unit of customer teams working across Quintiles’ clinical, commercial, capital and consulting divisions. Before joining Quintiles, Aurentz worked at Merck Serono.
Angela Panzarella has been named as president of ACM Global Central Lab as part of appointments at its US site. ACM has also hired Mary Williamson as director of laboratory operations and Andrew Bascom as director of data management and clinical systems.
Promotions have also been made from within ACM. Tracy Hendershot is now VP, clinical trials global operations and Brain Clark is the new senior business development director, North America.
Premier Research Group has named Christopher Codeanne as chief financial officer. Codeanne has worked for 20 years at companies including Oncology Development Partners, Averion International and Scirex.
Nathan Pienkowski has joined Pharmaceutical Institute, a biopharm training provider, as institutional design director. Pienkowski has 15 years of course development and training experience.
Althea Technologies has appointed Catherine Mackey to its board of directors. Mackey has 28 years of biopharm experience working at Pfizer, Dekalb and Monsanto.
Kathleen Bloch has joined Laureate Pharma as chief financial officer. Bloch has worked at PC Group and Silver Line Building Products and will now be responsible for increasing capital at Laureate.
