A new job for former EMA chief and Catalent strengthening its production team – People on the move
Thomas Lönngren, the former executive director of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), is to advice Germany-based consultants NDA Group. Lönngren recently completed his 10-year spell as head of the EMA.
ImmunoGen has named Theresa Wingrove as vice president (VP) of regulatory affairs. Wingrove has 20 years of healthcare regulatory experience from working at Histogenics, MediSpectra and Pfizer-Infusaid.
Erich Hunziker, chief financial officer, chief information officer and deputy head of the corporate executive committee at Roche, is to retire at the end of March. Alan Hippe will leave ThyssenKrupp AG to replace Hunziker as chief financial officer at Roche.
Catalent Pharma Solutions has made three appointments to strengthen its pharma manufacturing network. Jochen Roche, a former BASF employee, has been named country general manager, softgel manufacturing at Catalent Japan.
David Bricker has been appointed general manager, sterile technologies at Catalent’s Woodstock blow, fill and seal facility. Bricker has previously worked at Boehringer Ingelheim and AstraZeneca.
Finally, Sergio Alter, a former employee of Sandoz and Janssen-Cilag, has been appointed as general manager at Catalent Buenos Aires. Catalent recently expanded its Buenos Aires softgel manufacturing facility.
RSSL Pharma has hired Louis McMahon as pharmaceutical consultant. McMahon has 13 years of pharma manufacturing experience working at Novartis, Biovail, Wyeth and Pfizer.
Blair West has joined PharmaForm as VP of pharmaceutical operations. West has expertise in hot melt extrusion and spray drying from working at Bend Research and Azopharma. A further eight people have been hired to strengthen pharma operations and business development.
