INC Research has named Bruce Wakeman as vice president (VP) of alliance development. Wakeman joins from Premier Research where he worked as VP, US business development.
Simon Saxby is to join Selcia as CEO, succeeding Hans Fliri who will continue as chairman of the board. Saxby joined the Selcia board of directors last year and last worked as CEO of Cobra Biomanufacturing.
Selcia has also appointed Andreas Rummelt, former CEO of Sandoz, as non-executive director. Rummelt is CEO of InterPharmaLink and has also been a member of the Novartis executive committee.
Kathleen Castoro has been hired by Compliance Implementation Services (CIS) as senior manager of pharmaceutical consulting. Castoro has 20 years of experience across government programmes.
Omnicare has named its chief financial officer (CFO), John Workman, as president. Workman will continue as CFO, a position he has held since November 2009. Before joining Omnicare Workman held positions at HealthSouth, US Can Company and Montgomery Ward & Company/
Eric Schwartz has joined eResearchTechnology (ERT) as EVP and chief legal officer. Schwartz last worked at Johnson & Johnson and has also held positions at Animas.
ILS (Integrated Laboratory Systems) has appointed Sam Tetlow as chief business officer. Tetlow is a former VP at Calvert Research and has also worked at Research Triangle Ventures.
Martha Feller has been named VP and global head, study start-up at Kendle. Feller rejoins Kendle after two years at i3 Research. Before joining Kendle for the first time in 2004 Feller worked at Proctor & Gamble Pharmaceuticals for 24 years.
West Pharmaceutical Services has increased the size of its board and added two new directors. Mark Buthman and Douglas Michels have joined the board in anticipation of John Neafsey and Geoffrey Worden retiring.
Buthman is SVP and CFO of Kimberley-Clark. Michels is president, CEO and a board member of Orasure Technologies, a clinical diagnostics products company.
