Outsourcing-Pharma presents a round up of the latest appointments in the pharmaceutical outsourcing sector, which news from Aesica, SCM, Phlexglobal and Celerion.

Aesica Pharmaceuticals has named Nicolas Micheaud as Regional Sales Manager for Western Europe. Micheaud has previously worked at SPI Pharma, Goldshield working and Cenexi.

Lannett has appointed Robert Ehlinger as VP of logistics and chief information officer. The firm, which makes its own non-branded drugs in addition to providing contract manufacturing and packaging services, said the appointment will help drive productivity gains.

Filling services contractor SCM Pharma has named Adam Sims as a non-executive director in a move the CMO says will support its strategic development. Sims has worked in the industry for more than 20 years, most recently at Aesica Pharmaceuticals.

Documentation services provider MedQuist Holdings has named Roger Davenport as its new CEO and chairman.

He replaces current chairman Bob Aquilina and CEO Peter Masanotti. Prior to joining MedQuist Davenport was chairman at global CRO Quintiles.

AmerisourceBergen has promoted COO Steven Collis to the position of president and CEO. He succeeds David Yost.

Collis has been with the company for about 17 years and was previously Executive Vice President of AmerisourceBergen and President of AmerisourceBergen Drug Corp., the company's largest subsidiary.

Early-stage focused CRO Celerion has named Raymond Farmen as its new VP of global bioanalytical services.

Before joining Dr Farmen worked at PharmOptima, Eurofins AvTech Laboratories and Camargo Pharmaceutical Services. He has also held posts at MDS Pharma Services, Phoenix International Life Sciences and B-MS.

Jerold Grupp has joined CRO Phlexglobal as vice president. He will head up the organization’s recently launched Philadelphia office which opened in May.

Prior to joining Phlexglobal Grupp held positions at Johnson & Johnson, Schering-Plough, Medidata Solutions and ICON Central Laboratories.

KCAS has named Terry Osborn as CEO. He has previously worked at Heartland BioVentures and was founding CEO of AbaStar MDx, CEO of Pharmaceutical Development Center which is now part of AAIPharma.
