The facility, in Buenos Aires, is part of the firm’s expansion of its clinical distribution network in Latin America, which serves over 1200 research sites in the region.
The extension will support existing operations in Mexico, providing services in ambient, refrigerated, and frozen temperature controlled storage, as well as a secured area for controlled substances.
When plans for LatAm growth were first announced in August, the company’s CEO Wes Wheeler said: “The expansion of these facilities is just one more step in supporting our clients’ needs in controlling the chain-of-custody of clinical trial assets.”
The news follows an announcement of the firm’s new offerings; Marken Solo clinical distribution management solution, as well as a new version of Marken Maestro supply chain management application.
