IPEC India to launch in June

IPEC India will be formally established by the end of June according to incoming chairman Ajit Singh of Mumbai-based ACG Worldwide.

The International Pharmaceutical Excipients (IPEC) Federation has spoken about the need to establish industry representation excipient makers in India for several years, but it was until last November that concrete plans were put forward.

According to a new statement from IPEC Federation member IPEC Americas - which quotes Singh -IPEC India will be based at ACG's Dalamal House facility in Mumbai and registration with the Indian government Charity Commissioner is expected to be completed by the end of next month. The organisation also said that companies like Colorcon, Indchem International, Merck India and BASF are among the founding members.

IPEC India would join other branches in America, Japan, Europe and China as the fifth regional organisation.
