News from Aptiv, Truveris and CMI – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its weekly round-up of the latest new appointments in the pharmaceutical industry, including news from Aptiv, Truveris and CMI.

Pharma health information tech firm Truveris has hired Michael Jacobs as VP of national accounts.

Previously principal and national pharmacy practice leader for Buck Consultants, Jacobs’ appointment – says the firm – will help improve Truveris’ working knowledge.

Bryan Birch president and CEO said: “Michael joining Truveris is a great example of how we are combining our technology-based software solutions with strong prescription benefit domain expertise.

“He will undoubtedly improve our already impressive product portfolio with his vast industry experience.”

Aptiv Solutions has named Luis Gutierrez executive VP and chief commercial officer.

He joins the adaptive clinical trial specialist from MedAssurant, where he was senior VP of pharmaceutical and life sciences operations.

Of his new role, Gutierrez said: “I am thrilled to be joining Aptiv Solutions at a time when both regulators and sponsors are becoming increasingly enthusiastic about adaptive clinical trials and are changing requirements for medical device approvals.”

Ryan Kocher has become VP of analytics for CMI.

He joins the market research provider from lpsos Chicago, where he was director of marketing sciences.

Kocher will now head up the firm’s analytic services, focusing especially on development of new methods to understand customer data.

“He answers clients' important business questions in ways that business people can understand.”

Healthcare marketing agency Hawkeye has appointed Larry Kimmel as part of the project team.

The former CEO of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) has been drafted in to work on the firm’s growth strategy.

Kimmel said: “Hawkeye is a smart, innovative agency poised for dramatic growth with its emphasis on data, digital and design. I am enthusiastic about partnering with Steve to help catapult hawkeye to new levels of success.”

Spirit Health Partnership has named John Hopper division president.

The company – which works with companies and organisations to establish partnerships – says the move is a bid to expand its marketing operations.

“We are excited to have John join us as we expand our organization to include a marketing arm that offers unique opportunities for companies and non-profit groups to connect with respected regional wellness centers, their healthcare professionals and patients,” said Joshua Max Davis, president.

Hopper previously served as president of Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson.

AbelsonTaylor has appointed Laura Guarnieri as an account supervisor.

Prior to joining the healthcare ad firm, Guarnieri was group account supervisor at CAHG (Corbett Accel Healthcare Group)

The company also promoted Brooke Badzin from account coordinator to account executive. She will work with three products: a sleep aid, varicose vein treatment and wound therapy.
