AmerisourceBergen has named Lazarus Krikorian as new VP and corporate controller.
Previously VP and assistant corporate controller for the firm, Krikirian replaces Tim Guttman, who is now senior VP and CFO.
Guttman said: “Laz is a seasoned financial executive who has demonstrated excellent leadership, including playing a key role in the successful implementation of our new back-office ERP platform.
“He has demonstrated good governance and financial oversight of the company's capital projects, and I am certain that he will continue to make important contributions to the company's future success.”
Avrio Biopharmaceuticals has drafted in Laura Jones as VP of quality and regulatory affairs.
She joins the team from Bayer Healthcare, where she was quality assurance director.
William Botha, president of Avrio said: "I am confident knowing that Laura's in-depth expertise will even further enhance Avrio's robust quality systems to continuously improve the quality of service Avrio provides its clients."
Cellectricon has appointed AstraZeneca vet Paul Karila as the head of discovery services.
Karila joins the firm as it expands its Cellaxess(R) Elektra platform for automated cellular electric field manipulation enabling novel screening applications in the CNS (central nervous system) and Cardiovascular therapeutic fields.
Of his new role, he said: "Working with the strong scientific team, I will focus on further developing and providing outstanding cell-based discovery services to our customers to accelerate their drug discovery and biological research."
Scott Decker has become director of security at AIBioTech.
Previously, Decker worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) where he worked both as an investigator as well as a scientist.
In his new role, he will focus on the security of the CRO’s (contract research organisation) classified programs.
William Miller, CEO, said his appointment “enables us to leverage his past experience to help advance our current biodefense related and forensics programs.”
Healthcare communications agency DiD has expanded its leadership team with two new appointments.
Elyse Cole has been promoted to the role of VP of strategy and strategic services. She joined the firm five years ago as a member of the strategy department.
And Bill Fay will become the new director of client services. He takes the role after three years as a group account supervisor for the firm.
Peter Kenney, partner, said: “To keep pace with this growth, we needed to expand our leadership team. It was an easy decision to do so internally with such a strong core of experienced directors.”
