Expo Technologies rebrands as Prozess Technologie

Expo Technologies has rebranded as Prozess Technologie and moved to a new HQ in St Louis, Missouri, US.

The firm – which designs real-time, spectroscopic process monitoring technologies for the pharmaceutical, food, beverage and petrochemical industries announced the changes just months after it was acquired by Greta Holdings and KFP Partners in a deal that also cleared its debts.

Prozess was also upbeat about its growth prospects, citing increasing demand from drugmakers keen to adopt process analytical technology (PAT) and quality by design (QbD) principals in the face of growing pressure from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an important driver.

Susan Bragg, CTO and founder said: “Our technology, both hardware and software, and our science has enabled some of the largest companies in the world to reduce production cycling time, prevent rejection of batches, enable real-time release, and improve energy and material use.

With our current financial position, we can really push our R & D efforts to better accommodate current customers and extend our solutions to broader markets.”

Prozess claims it already has 16 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies on its books, with applications ranging from blending, high shear wet granulation and drying to tablet press and colour monitoring, dilution monitoring, concentration monitoring, reaction monitoring and cleaning.
