Icon has drafted in new members of its Asia Pacific and Latin America divisions.
Former Kendle exec Wei Ming Goh will become VP in Asia Pacific. He will take charge of all operational activities and partner relationships within the region.
Meanwhile Dennis Hurley – formerly of INC – takes the role of VP of LatAm.
Steve Cutler, Icon’s group president of clinical research services said both men’s strong regional knowledge will help the contract research organisation (CRO) to grow in the emerging markets.
He added: “Continuing to grow our presence and expand our capabilities in Asia Pacific and Latin America is one of our strategic priorities.”
Althea Technologies has named Rick Hancock its new president and CEO as part of a shake-up of its management team.
Formerly the firm’s president, Hancock’s 30-year biotech career also includes roles at Hybritech and Eli Lilly.
Operations manager Chris Duffy will also step up, now serving as senior VP of operations. And former VP of quality and regulatory affairs E.J. Brandreth will now add “senior” to his title.

inVentiv Health subsidiary the Navicor Group has named Greg Niemczyk its senior VP and director of client services.
He joins the marketing communications company from AbelsonTaylor, where he was VP and account director.
The firm says the move is part of efforts to expand its immunology division.
“He will help usher in growth within the immunology side of our business and serve as a catalyst for Navicor’s continued advancement,” said Dave Querry, MD.
McKesson Corporation has announced that Mark Walchirk will be the new president of its pharma division.
Walchirk, who was most recently COO of McKesson Specialty Health, has held numerous leadership roles at McKesson since he first joins 11 years ago.
He succeeds Brian Tyler, who was recently appointed executive vice president of corporate strategy and business development.
Paul Julian, executive vice president and group president, said: “Mark Walchirk has deep leadership experience in our pharmaceutical distribution business and a proven track record of delivering results for our customers.”
Erik Halstrom has joined Managed Health Care Associates, (MHA) as VP of specialty pharmacy solutions.
He will take charge of the “alternative” health care service company’s expansion of its specialty product portfolio.

Biopharma loyalty relationship marketing servicesprovider PSKW has drafted in Ticia Cawley as VP of specialty programs.
Currently a member of the firm’s specialty pharmaceuticals co-pay offset programs, Cawley will now oversee the entire section of the business including developing new specialty offerings for the industry.
