PRA Expands Clinical Informatics, Adds New Facility in Wales
The new facility is supported by £1.29m ($2m) from the Welsh Government and was officially opened on Wednesday by Edwina Hart, Minister for the Economy, Science and Transport.
PRA said it is looking to recruit graduates from Swansea, Cardiff and Aberystwyth Universities and the University of South Wales, for a range of jobs from programmers to data managers at the new site.
This is the second time in about a month that North Carolina-based PRA has added jobs in an existing locale. In late April, PRA was awarded a grant in Kansas to attract recent college graduates.
Hart said that the expansion will create a number of highly-skilled jobs across a range of disciplines over the next three years and reaffirms PRA’s commitment to Wales.
Steve Powell, PRA executive vice president, said, “The new site has received substantial funding from the Welsh government which will mean significant job creation and support for the local economy."
