IRB Services, which independently reviews, monitors and provides oversight of biomedical and behavioral research, will be the first IRB (institutional review board) to license Intralinks VIA to facilitate the transfer of sensitive documents for sponsors and CROs.
"More and more clients have been requesting secure portals to help with the exchange of regulatory documents required during the clinical trial process," said Simon A. Corman, director of business operations at IRB Services. “Utilizing a collaboration platform that we can trust with sensitive information around clinical trials on a global scale will help bolster our services in the eyes of our clients and accelerate the clinical trial process, which is always a plus."
Intralinks VIA is a tool that enables the syncing, sharing and unsharing of files. The tools are used by over 99 percent of the global Fortune 1000.
"IRB Services works with virtually all of the big pharmaceutical companies, CROs and research sites, and adding Intralinks VIA will only make IRB Services more competitive," said Douglas Gordon, SVP of product marketing at Intralinks.
