Roche cuts 100 Spanish jobs in downsizing drive

Roche has revealed plans to cut 100 jobs from its business in Spain “due to restructuring efforts to improve business efficiency.”

Employees working in Commercial Operations both at field and headquarter levels will be affected.

A spokeswoman for Roche told in-Pharmatechnologist.com the company has “no plans” to outsource the scrapped roles.

The Swiss multinational has pharmaceutical headquarters in Barcelona and Madrid, and a diagnostics site in San Cugat, Spain.

Roche’s Spanish careers website is currently advertising for a Head of Medical Affairs in Barcelona, several senior medical IT specialists in Barcelona, and an SAT Omega Technician in the Canary Islands.
