Pharm-Olam sets up in Paris citing French R&D tax credit as driver
US CRO Pharm-Olam has opened a Paris office citing changes to the rules governing drug R&D and French tax credits as the driver.

The Houston-based contract research organisation (CRO) has worked in France for a decade; however, the new office is the first dedicated facility it has established in the country according to Frederique Fauduet, director of clinical development.

In France we have always had a strong scientific and academic history and even today there are currently over 4000 open clinical studies around the country. You can find key opinion leaders in all the major fields working at the leading French medical institutes.”

Fauduet also said “improvements in the regulatory process coupled with the EU Horizon 2020 initiative and the R&D Tax Credit scheme” had positioned France as a European leader in clinical research.
