With the acquisition, ALTEN will gain expertise in clinical research, with more than 200 clinical research consultants, biostatisticians, as well as SAS and R programmers.
ALTEN Calsoft Labs, a subsidiary of ALTEN Group, works with leading healthcare and life science companies in their strategic product engineering, IT and digital initiatives.
The deal will expand the company’s capabilities in clinical data management, analysis, and reporting, which according to the company, are high-growth areas.

In the past, PVR Technologies has worked to develop macro based tools for CROs in the US, in addition to developing CDISC compliant systems for pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Ramandeep Singh, CEO, ALTEN Calsoft Labs, commented in the company’s release that the acquisition will catalyze the company’s Healthcare & Life Sciences business, in addition to creating a stronger presence in the US.
